The Nemesis

Also known as The Creature, the Nemesis is a monstrous serpentine creature that is a creation of the Macula. Like other forms of the Macula it despises light, instead favouring to creep through tunnels and crevices to catch its prey.
The Nemesis hunts by breathing in particles left in the air, that when agitated by movement, glow blue and direct the creature towards its victims. The Nemesis also functions as an extension of the carrier Asterion, and those caught by the Nemesis are killed by petrification.
Trivia:
The Nemesis is named as such as a reference to the Greek Goddess of divine retribution against those who have wronged the gods with their hubris or arrogance. It is also a reference to the pursuing monster of the same name from Resident Evil 3.
