La Cuna is a beautiful, Mediterranean-style island situated off the southern coast of France. While it initially appears to be a sunny paradise free from the war-torn horrors of mainland Europe, it serves as the ultimate breeding ground for ancient occult heresy.
📊 Quick Facts
- Location: Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region
- Rulers: Count Victor and Countess Emilie
- Status: Devastated
- Key Landmarks: The Order's Sanctuary, Las Madres, Milo's Fort
☀️ Cult of the Child of Embers
The island's culture revolves around a highly deceptive pagan religion centered on the worship of a deity known as The Child of Embers. In reality, this deity was a completely mythologized fabrication created by Count Victor to appease his infertile wife. The cult was used to exploit local populations and mask a dark underground network of ruthless slavers.
🏛️ The Ruins of Basilius
Deep underneath the island lies the original, hidden underground sanctuary built by the Order of Alchemists centuries ago. It was here that Basilius, the very first Carrier of the Prima Macula, was chained up and sealed away in absolute darkness. When his protector, Aelia, failed to reach him, his absolute despair caused the catastrophic Justinian Plague of 541 A.D. Following the murder of Béatrice de Rune, La Cuna was entirely wiped off the map by an apocalyptic sea of rats summoned by a grieving Hugo.
